Minneapolis, MN Sewer Line Tid-Bits

Sewer Details

It is the property owners responsibility to maintain, or when necessary to repair or replace the defective sewer service line.

Some Different Types of Sewer Defects Are:

Cracked, offset, tree root intrusion, root mass or cluster, misaligned, shifted, separated, collapsed, punctured, pierced, hole, decay, rats, and more.

We offer spot sewer repairs that only fix what needs fixing.  "If it's not broken why fix it, right!"  We excavate on the sewer line at the location of the broken pipe and install new Schedule 40 PVC Pipe by tying onto the existing sewer pipe.

We also offer a CIPP Liner or Liner Push Patches also known as a sewer sleeve.   Cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining is a method of trenchless rehabilitation and restoration used in the repair of existing pipes.  CIPP lining uses a textile liner tube and a liquid resin.  CIPP lining is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to rehabilitate pipes with many different diameters.   We service sewer lines that are 4" and 6".

Our Sewer Repair Services Are

  • Efficient

Interesting Sewer Facts

  • The first known sewer systems were created in 800 BC
  • Sewer systems were trenched in the main streets just like today
  • Sewers were made with elaborate stonework or bricks
  • Cast Iron and Clay tile pipe was vastly used until the 1980s and was replaced with PVC
  • Many Minneapolis homes still use sewer piping dating before the 1900s
  • Most Minneapolis homes have 4" cast iron underneath the foundation and then the pipe transitions to 6" clay tile at the edge of the foundation all the way to the city main connection in the street
