•  A water line can freeze if it's too close to an exterior wall especially if there isn't a whole lot of airflow.  Water lines usually freeze in a basement and crawlspace during the winter months by the water meter area
• Copper was introduced around 1930

➡️Minneapolis Water Line TidBit:  IF you are experiencing low water pressure, you may have original lead piping from the water meter area out to the Citys water main located in the street.  This type of pipe material is susceptible to corrosion.  The sediment can flake off and get lodged into the water line and restrict the flow of water, therefore, causing low water pressure
