1. Professional Underground Services & Responsibility

Cichy’s Water & Sewer specializes in underground plumbing, sewer, and water line infrastructure.

  • Property Owner Responsibility: In accordance with Minneapolis municipal codes, it is the property owner’s responsibility to maintain, repair, or replace defective water service lines and sewer laterals.
  • Service Scope: We service sewer lines from 4” to 6” (utilizing Schedule 40 PVC, HDPE, or CIPP) and water lines from 3/4" to 1.5".
  • Estimates & Diagnostics: Preliminary estimates provided via 612-662-7577 orhttps://cichyswaterandsewer.com/ are based on initial assessments. Final project costs are established only after a professional sewer video inspection or site evaluation.

  • Emergency Coordination: Real-time updates for urgent sewer backups or water line failures.
  • Service Logistics: Appointment reminders, technician ETAs, and project scheduling.

3. Licensing, Insurance & Craftsmanship

Cichy’s Water & Sewer is a family-owned pipelaying company, fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Since 1989, we have provided honest, professional craftsmanship backed by a Workmanship Guarantee. All installations—including directional drilling, pipe bursting, and manhole repairs—are performed to Minnesota plumbing and safety standards.

4. Punctuality & Regional Service Factors

We serve Minneapolis and over 25 surrounding communities (including Edina, Roseville, and Blaine). While we prioritize prompt response, we are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Heavy Twin Cities metro traffic (I-35W, I-94, or local Minneapolis congestion).
  • Extreme Minnesota winter weather impacting safe excavation or underground access.
  • Delays in utility marking (Gopher State One Call 811) or municipal permit issuance.

5. Trenchless & Cleaning Disclaimer

Our trenchless solutions (CIPP, Picote descaling, Spot Repair) minimize property disruption. However, the success of these methods depends on the structural integrity of the host pipe. We reserve the right to recommend full trenching or replacement if a pipe is found to be completely collapsed or structurally absent during a video inspection.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Minnesota law, our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service rendered. We are not liable for pre-existing landscape damage or structural issues caused by underground leaks that occurred prior to our mobilization.
